State vs. Edward Taylor; assault and battery. Plead guilty; fine $1.

The Grand Jury returned an indictment against Richard M. Caldwell, now in jail, for bigamy.

Wayne and Ratterman vs. Heman Bradley et al; foreclosure. Judgment for plaintiff for $629.

Edward C. Shull vs. David Dow et al; on note. Judgment for plaintiff for $1,907.75.

Appelia Hickman et al vs. Abbie Vandorin et al; partition. Partition ordered.

Pleasant R. Vernon vs. Adolphus E. Merit et al; foreclosure. Judgment for plaintiff for $260.70.

Narciesa Henry vs. Charles Henry; divorce. Granted and custody of child given to plaintiff.

State vs. Thomas Harper; assault and battery. Released on his own recognizance.

State vs. Rube Schaffer; assault and battery. Plead guilty and fined $1.

State ex rel M. R. Sulzer, Prosecuting Attorney, &c., vs. Phillip Burns; foreclosure. Judgment for plaintiff.

The trial of John Chatelin is set for next Tuesday.

 

PROBATE DOCKET.

The acts of the Clerk in vacation in taking bonds, &c., were approved by the Court.

The claim of A. G. Craig, guardian, for $10 vs. the estate of Thos. H. Downey & Son was allowed.

Ira Banta, guardian of Wm. Hathorn, filed a final report and was discharged.

John L. Jack, guardian of Mary E. Jack, minor heir of Wm. Lostutter, deceased, filed a partial report.

Wm. Tait, administrator of the estate of Martha Leap, deceased, filed a partial report.

The last will and testament of Caroline Gooch, deceased, was admitted to probate.

F. M. Griffith appointed guardian of the minor heirs of Allen and Missouri Wright.

Joseph Breech appointed administrator of the estate of Caroline Gooch, deceased.

Daniel Trafelet, executor of the will of Esther Schwab, deceased, filed a final report and was discharged.

William S. Tower appointed administrator of the estate of Louis O. Schroeder, deceased.

Oliver A. Cole vs. George Rayl; appeal. Judgment for plaintiff for $8.

Singer Manufacturing Co. vs. Martha E. Ake; on note. Judgment for plaintiff for $56.79.

State vs. James Burke; public intoxication. Plead guilty—fined $1.

State vs. John Chatelin; criminal provocation. Found not guilty.

State vs. Wm. Brandon; carrying concealed weapon. Plead guilty—discharged during good behavior.

State vs. John and William Davis; plead guilty to assault. John fined $10 and Wm. $5.

 

PROBATE DOCKET.

The will of George Gordon, deceased, was admitted to probate.

Perry K. Cotton was appointed Administrator of the estate of Lawrence Taylor, deceased.

Carroll S. Tandy, Administrator of the estate of America Schenck, deceased, filed a final report and was discharged.

Frank Bradley was found to be of unsound mind and incapable of managing his estate.

Albert G. Craig, Guardian of Lillie C. Schenck, was given permission to sell lands belonging to said ward.

Schrumpf & Told vs. Thos. F. McCreary, administrator of the estate of Nancy J. Stewart, deceased; claim on note. Allowed for $265.

CIVIL DOCKET.

State vs. Richard M. Caldwell; bigamy. Plead guilty—sent to State Prison for two years and six months.

State vs. Rees McManama; selling liquor without license. Found guilty—fined $20.

There were several pleas of guilty and small fines for minor offenses.

 

PROBATE DOCKET.

Money ordered to be distributed in the Ann Blodgett estate.

Joseph Breech, Administrator of the estate of Caroline Gooch, deceased, was given leave to sell personal property of said estate.

The estate of Wm. A. Campbell being under $500 was ordered set over to Cora A. Campbell, his widow.

Andrew. J. Schenck, surviving partner of the firm of U. P. Schenck & Son, filed a partial report.

George McClanahan, Guardian of Julia, James and Lucy McClanahan, minor heirs of Susan McClanahan, filed a report and was discharged as to Julia and James, and this matter was continued as to Lucy.

Henry Brindley was appointed Administrator of the estate of William Brindley, deceased.

State vs. Reese McManama; selling liquor without license. Found guilty and fined $20 in one. Plead guilty in two more—fined five dollars in each. The rest of the cases against him were dismissed.

State vs. George Davidson; selling liquor on election day. One case dismissed and in the other plea of guilty was entered—fined $1.

State ex rel David N. Haydon, Auditor, &c., vs. Samuel Adkinson et al; foreclosure. Judgment for plaintiff for $600 and foreclosure.

Addison Works vs. Jane B. Works; divorce—granted.

Joseph Shull vs. Alexander Scudder; criminal conversation—judgment for plaintiff for $200.

M. Brown & Son vs. Ulysses C. Anderson; on note—judgment for plaintiff for $120.

Geo. W. Connell vs. Jas. Dunning; for possession of real estate—judgment for plaintiff.

A school teacher and pupil each plead guilty to assault and battery and were fined 1 cent each.

 

PROBATE DOCKET.

The claim of B. F. Wildman vs. the estate of John Kerr, deceased, was allowed by the Court for $115.

Sylvester H. Morrison, guardian of Phebe Demaree, an insane person, filed a final report and was discharged.

John M. Burns was appointed administrator of the estate of Eliza J. Burns, deceased.

Edward C. Shull, administrator of the estate of Martha A. Hinman, deceased, filed a report and resignation and was discharged.

Perry K. Cotton, administrator of the estate of Lawrence Taylor, deceased, was given permission to sell personal property of said estate at private sale.

The claim of Asbury Fisher vs. the estate of Alexander Fisher, deceased, was reinstated on the docket. It was dismissed last term by mistake.

Moses B. Allen was appointed executor of the will of David Allen, deceased.
