Aurora, Dearborn county, on the Ohio river, and Ohio & Mississippi railroad, 25 miles  west of Cincinnati, and 95 miles south-east of Indianapolis. Population 3,000. This is a flourishing business point with a good agricultural country surrounding it. In the article of hay alone there were shipped in 1865, 91,700 tons. There is a very large coopage establishment here, perhaps one of the largest in the State; also a foundry and machine shop, planing mill and large distillery. Express Company, Adams.
