Ohio County Probate Complete Record Books

Probate Complete Record Books compile every action made by the court pertaining to a certain estate. Since the estates were recorded only after the estate was closed, each book covers a variety of years. Not every estate is included.

In 1833, the Ohio County Probate Court recorded the rules they used to determine when a probate would be recorded in the Complete Record books. You can read those rules here.

The following table details complete probate books available for Ohio County, Indiana. Ohio County Complete Probate Record Index (1844-1911) contains an index of the main subject(s) of estates, guardianships, insanity cases, and other records.
