Benjamin F. English vs. Nannie A. English. Divorce granted to plaintiff. Defendant given possession of child and plaintiff to pay $50 per year for its support.

Estate of David P. Blodgett, deceased. Final report of David Lee, Administrator, approved.

State vs. Joseph Thamann; selling liquor on 4th of July. Plea of guilty, fined $10. The case of selling to a minor was dismissed.

State vs. Cyrus Jackson; provoke. Fined $1.

State vs. John Stoops and Thurston Netherland; larceny. The grand jury, after investigating the case, refused to return an indictment and the case was dismissed.

Rose B. Aldred and James Adams vs. William Miles et al; partition of real estate. C. S. Tandy appointed Guardian ad libitum of Cora Miles, John Miles, et al, minors, and case continued.

John F. McCreary vs. Francis Stephenson et al; partition of real estate. Report of sale of real estate by Samuel W. Wade, Commissioner, approved and Commissioner discharged.

State vs. Stephen Spears; selling liquor to a minor. Trial by jury, fined $20. One case tried by Court, fined $20. Three cases selling on Sunday, and one case selling without license, nollied.

State vs. Alexander Horton; provoke. Plea of guilty, fined $1.

James Leap; contempt of Court. Found guilty, and that he pay cost of attachment.

Elmer E. Glenn vs. Maria M. Morris et al; to foreclose tax lien. James A. VanOsdol appointed Guardian ad libitum of Charles Pelser et al, minors. Judgment of plaintiff for $63 and land ordered sold to pay same, and if balance, money be paid into Court.

Frank Miller et al vs. Crawford Miller et al; partition of real estate. Geo. W. McKay, James M. Scott and Ira Banta appointed Commissioners.

Thomas J. McElrath, of Carrollton, admitted to practice.

State vs. Frank Boswell, Jr., (colored); petit larceny. Court found him guilty, fined $1, imprisoned in county jail thirty days, and disfranchised for two years.

George S. Gullion vs. C. M. Newkirk, Administrator of Robert D. Gullion, deceased, et al. To contest will. Verdict of jury for plaintiff and will set aside.

State vs. Fletcher Pate, James Wigal and Stone Wigal; malicious trespass. Plea of guilty, fined $2 each.

State ex rel County Auditor vs. Joshua D. Griffith, Jr., et al; possession of real estate. Verdict of Court for plaintiff.

George S. Pleasants, Administrator of Joshua and Sarah Smithson, deceased. Sale of real estate confirmed and case continued for collection of balance of purchase money.

William A. Shadday vs. Oscar Williamson et al; replevin. Verdict of jury for defendant.

Susannah Adams vs. James A. Adams; divorce. Divorce granted plaintiff and given $500 alimony and possession of minor child, Lewis Adams.

George S. Gullion vs. Charles M. Newkirk, Administrator of Robert D. Gullion, deceased; to contest will. The will having previously been set aside, George W. McKay, David Dyer and James M. Scott were appointed Commissioners to divide the real estate between George S. and James B. Gullion, the only heirs of Robert D. Gullion, deceased.

James R. Cole vs. Emanuel Farwood; appeal from Justice of Peace on claim of $10. Jury, after being out from 5 o’clock Saturday evening until 9 o’clock Sunday morning, disagreed and were dismissed.

Estate of Julia McCormick. Geo. S. Pleasants presented plat of real estate—“Julia H. McCormick’s Executor’s addition to the city of Vevay”—divided into 11 lots and a block, and was given permission to sell the same.

Estate of David Henry, A. D. VanOsdol, Executor. Partial distribution of money and personal property ordered.

Estate of George J. Taylor. Estate being under $500 was given to widow.

Estate of Ira M. Taylor, Algie Taylor, Administrator. Final report approved.

James P. Orem, Administrator of George W. Heady, vs. John S. Heady et al. Petition to pay taxes granted.

James Culbertson, Administrator of the estate of Alexander Edgar. Petition to sell real estate granted and bond for $4,000 approved.

Phillip C. Holland et al vs. Eleanor Thiebaud et al. To quiet title to real estate. Judgment for plaintiff and by agreement he paid costs.

Andrew J. Schenck submitted his final reports as surviving partner of the firm of Ulysses P. Schenck & Son, and Administrator of the estate of Ulysses P. Schenck. Reports approved and he discharged.
