William Brindley, William H. Scott and John F. Houze, County Commissioners, met in regular session, Monday, March 1st, and adjourned Friday evening, 5th.

In the matter of the petition of Jacob F. Letherbury and others, for change of highway. R. R. Stout, J. R. S. Smith and B. F. Rodgers, reported that Theodore Livings would be damaged $60.00 by said change of road. Report approved—Mr. Livings to be paid $60.00, and the road to be opened.

In the matter of the petition of James Cole, for change of road, Hiram Bakes and Abner Gates, viewers assessed damages to James Cole at $14.00. Approved.

Dr. A. G. Craig was reappointed Health Officer and Secretary of Board of Health for present year.

C. G. Adams, County Treasurer, presented orders redeemed by him for the past quarter, amounting to $15,341.84. Found correct and cancelled.

Cornelius Miller was appointed Inspector of Markland precinct, vice Robert Galbreath, removed from the county.

Wm. R. Johnston was appointed County Attorney at a salary of $150.00, vice James B. McCrellis, term expired.

The bridges at Beatty’s and Powell’s Ford are to be raised and repaired.

Thomas Dyer, Walter S. Lock and others petitioned for bridge at Knox’s Ford. Estimates of cost ordered.
