Among the business transacted by the County Commissioners at their recent session was the following:

The Board of Commissioners ordered the petition of James Culbertson and others for vacation of highways to be dismissed at the cost of the petitioners.

In the matter of the Congressional School Fund belonging to Congressional Townships 3-12 4-12 & 5-12 E., and belonging to Jefferson and Switzerland counties, the Board being sufficiently advised as to the claim of Jefferson county as to balance of Congressional interest accruing and remaining unpaid for the years 1877 to 1887 inclusive, it was ordered that the Auditor draw a warrant on the County Treasurer for the sum of $553.60 in favor of Jefferson county.
