Dearborn County 1820 Land Notices

The following Dearborn County, Indiana land notices were published in Indiana newspapers in 1820. Dearborn County suffered a courthouse fire on 6 March 1826 that destroyed all records. See Dearborn County Reconstructed Records for more details.

Sheriff’s Sale.

By virtue of an execution issued out of the Clerk’s office of the Dearborn Circuit Court, to me directed, against the goods and chattels, lands and tenements, of John Barnhart, in favor of John Weaver & Co. I have seized and taken in execution the east half of in-Lots No. 37 & 38, in the addition to the town of Lawrenceburgh, formerly Edensborough—taken as the property of said Barnhart, which I shall expose to public sale on the Eighteenth day of this inst. at the Court House in Lawrenceburgh.

Sheriff’s Sale.

By virtue of sundry fee bills against Joseph W. Winkley, I have seized and taken one in Lot of Land, being and lying in the town of Decatur, and designated in the plan of said town as in-Lot No. 114—taken as the property of said Winkley, which I shall offer for sale on the Twenty-fifth day of this inst. at the Court House in Lawrenceburg.

Sheriff’s Sale.

By virtue of an execution issued out the Clerk’s office of the Dearborn Circuit Court to me directed, against the goods and chattels, lands and tenements, of James Wood and Edward Shillitoc, in favor of Richard Thomas, assignee, &c. I have seized and taken in execution thirty acres of LAND, being part of the south east quarter of section 18, town. 4, range 2, west—also in Lot of Land, being and lying in the town of Hanover, and designated as No. [illegible] on the plot of said town; which I shall expose to sale on the Twenty-fifth day of inst. at the Court House in Lawrenceburg.

Sheriff’s Sale.

BY virtue of an execution, muster fine and fee bills, to me directed, against the property of Reuben Dayman, I have taken two Lots of LAND being and lying in the village of Decatur, and designated as Nos. 104 and 107, on the plan of said village, which I shall expose to sale on the Ninth day of May, at the Court House in Lawrenceburgh. The above named Lots taken as the property of the said Dayman.
